HAIR TREATMENTS

Hair Loss

Hair loss, also known as alopecia, refers to the partial or complete loss of hair from the scalp or other parts of the body. It can occur due to a variety of factors, including genetics, hormonal changes, medical conditions, medications, nutritional deficiencies, stress, and lifestyle factors. The most common type of hair loss is known as androgenetic alopecia or male/female pattern baldness, which is influenced by genetics and hormone levels. Other forms of hair loss include alopecia areata, which causes patchy hair loss, and telogen effluvium, which is temporary hair shedding due to a disruption in the hair growth cycle. The management and treatment of hair loss depend on the underlying cause. Options may include medication, topical treatments, hair transplant surgery, low-level laser therapy, platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy, and lifestyle changes such as a balanced diet and stress reduction. It is recommended to consult with a dermatologist or healthcare professional for an accurate diagnosis and personalized treatment plan for hair loss.
