SKIN TREATMENTS

Rosacea

Rosacea is a chronic skin condition characterized by redness, flushing, and the appearance of small, visible blood vessels on the face. It primarily affects the central areas of the face, such as the cheeks, nose, forehead, and chin. Individuals with rosacea may also experience acne-like bumps, dryness, and a feeling of heat or stinging on the affected areas. The exact cause of rosacea is unknown, but it is believed to involve a combination of genetic, environmental, and vascular factors. Triggers such as sun exposure, hot beverages, spicy foods, alcohol, and certain skincare products can exacerbate symptoms. While there is no cure for rosacea, treatment options aim to control and manage the symptoms. These may include topical medications, oral antibiotics, laser therapy, or light-based treatments to reduce redness and inflammation. Additionally, lifestyle modifications such as gentle skincare routines, sun protection, and identifying and avoiding triggers can help manage rosacea. It is recommended to consult with a dermatologist for an accurate diagnosis and personalized treatment plan for rosacea.
